Halo: Reach Empty Halo: Reach

Halo Reach

Just so people know. I’m doing this as a once off favour so
you won’t have to put up with my crappy update style for long. Halo: Reach…Reach
the biggest rape in the halo universe, to break it down simply.

But the campaign is worth squat at the moment so let’s focus
on the multiplayer. Going beta may 3rd. Halo: Reach brings in a
whole new Multiplayer style as I will explain now.

Multiplayer? No more Ranked Social? What is this Arena?

Reach’s multiplayer gets rid of the old Ranked and Social
system. (Thank Rockman for that.) This is partly to keep top level players from
getting bored and creating new accounts simply to level, causing great pain to
the less skilled on their way back to the top. Arena is the new Ranked, I guess
you could say. Arena is designed to foster ultra competitive matches focused on
skill, individual performance, and personal bragging rights. The Arena is all
about providing a level playing field for players looking to put their skills
to the ultimate test. It’s about finding out who really is the best slayer when
many of the more “random” external factors have been stripped away and the
underlying ability to put bullets in Spartans is all that’s left. Arena’s main
feature is that it is a seasonal competition. You want to be the best. You got
to earn it almost each and every month. (I’m out) The Arena ranking is only
applicable to the Arena, which means your Daily Rating, current Division
standing, and historical Seasonal performance will have no impact on non-Arena
Playlists.

In the Beta you’ll be able to save films and upload them to
your file share and get screenshots to put on your bungie profile. You know stick
it to the guys without beta.

Active Roster, eh?

Well my fiends Active Roster in a more detailed look is
simply the result of the lobby and Party system getting together with the
Friends List, with Player Details getting invited too. The familiar list of
players on the right side of the lobby now displays more than just your own
Party. If you have it set to Xbox LIVE Friends, then it displays your Friends
right there in the Roster. You can select them, see what they're doing, see if
there's room in their Party, and join them. If a couple of Friends are in the
same Party, you can see that right there. If you didn't like digging through
the Guide to see who was doing what, you're going to appreciate how much easier
this is. Also if you're already in a party and just want to check people out,
the Player Details display right there in the lobby now. Less navigating
sub-screens. All of the customized Spartan and Elite models look bitchin of
display too.

Side note: Reach’s menus and selections screens look Pimp
as!!!

GET EQUIPED!!

Well as with all Halo games along with the bitchin new game
play is the super Pimp as Weapons. First on today agenda is the new,

Assault Rifle:

This Aged old classic has been making the Covenant bleed since the bloody war began. Halo Reach has
given it a nice new look.

Halo: Reach Ar10

Designated Marksman Rifle:

The DMR, is a medium-to-long range support weapon. In range
and play style it fits between the Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle. Powerful in
skilled hands, its rewards the ‘gunfighter’ – the calm, accurate player, who
like to be in the fight. Its primary role is to suppress snipers and soften
opposition before the shock troops close.”

Halo: Reach Dmr10

Needle Rifle:

The Needle Rifle is one of the more fearsome and unique
weapons in their invasion force’s arsenal and a fitting counter to the
Designated Marksman Rifle. Very similar to the Carbine in many ways,
including its ability to headshot, it’s still All Needler (Good news for you ey,
Saamun SnAp!) and comes stock with the ability to super-combine when it comes
in contact with your enemies and, well you know, reduce them to that very
beautiful pink mist. Unlike the Needler, the rounds don’t track your target,
Cause how OP’d would that be. (Sorry Saamun)

Halo: Reach Needle10

THE PISTOL IS BACK!!!:

Anyone legendry enough to understand the heading gets 5 gold
stars. The Pistol has been revamped and given back its power and Zoom!! 5 shots
to the head and they are down!!!

Halo: Reach Reach_10

Plasma Repeater:

It’s a bit different that the Plasma Rifle you’ve become
accustomed to. It still sends out a steady stream of bright blue plasma bolts,
but the cadence will taper off as the weapon overheats. And while you’ll never
need to worry about it rendering the weapon useless as it cools, you’ll need to
vent it out if you want to run it at full speed using the reload button.
Bitchin right?

Halo: Reach Reach_11

The Plasma Launcher:

The covenants answer to the missilepod, can send a volley of
one to four plasma explosives toward your opponent, depending on how long you
keep your finger on the trigger. How many rounds you’re prepping is
communicated to you through a nifty combination of visual and audio cues. And
when you see and hear it coming your way, you need to find some cover. Fast.

Halo: Reach Reach_12

Focus Rifle:

The Focus Rifle looks pretty bitchin. This weapon combines
pretty much two old weapons. The Beam Rifle and the Sentinel Beam. Zoom in on your target and let loose you’ll
tear through their shields and health like butter.

Halo: Reach Reach_MPBeta_FocusRifle

Load Outs:

No if you have seen the trailers you have noticed the jet
packs. Well they are part of a new game function called Load outs! Here’s how
it works. At the beginning of each match or round, and again every time you
wait out your respawn window, you are given the option of choosing a Load Out. What
this doesn’t mean is that you will be creating your own custom Load Out to
bring into Matchmaking. You’ll be choosing from our prefabricated offerings,
based on what’s best suited for each gametype.
Halo: Reach Ui

Armor Lock:
This gives you a burst of invulnerability. You can click
once to briefly engage it, or hold it for a longer lasting effect, but either
way, while you’re in the throes you can’t move a single, solitary inch. You’re
rooted. But you’ll shed plasma grenades, shred vehicles unfortunate enough to
attempt a splatter, and deflect projectiles. You look super bitchin doing this.

Active Camo:
Active Camo can be used by Spartans and Elites alike. It
grants you temporary invisibility, but the effectiveness is hampered in two
distinct ways. The faster you move, the more visible you become and the shorter
the duration of the effect will be. If you want to make the most of it, stand
still or move slowly. While using the Active Camo your also jamming the radars
so keep that in mind.

Evade:
This lets you make a
leap of faith in any direction. It’s fast, it’s tricksy, and it’s something
you’ll be getting a lot of use out of as an Elite. It will shed locks and
tracking and makes for one nasty juke when you’re in close quarters combat.

Jet Pack:
Jet Pack should be pretty self explanatory. You can hold the
button for an extended burst or feather it after a jump for just a little more
height. If you’re get too close to the sun, you’ll need to worry about the
landing, so make sure you save some juice to soften the approach. (This means
fall damage…Now who’s going to be jumping off bridges to Voi? Another 5 gold
stars if you get this one)

Sprint:
Sprint is Spartan only and should be pretty self-explanatory.
It gives you a quick burst of speed, but while you’re at a dead run, you can’t
get all offensive. If you want to engage, you have to let off and regain your
composure. So try not to use this as an
enemy line charge tactic…

Does anyone know what Bungie plan to do after the release of Reach? Since that will be their 5th Halo game, isnt this the end of their contract?

Microsfot gets it back yes. Bungie HAS NOT decieded on anything full. Bungie has stated this about three or four weeks back. Their are rumours of a few things in the work, but they are not definit anything yet. This is mainly due to them wanting to focus on Reach and nothing else.

Hey look. Sony has done good things. But they took a pretty decent star wars mmo and in a short span of time ruined it causing die hard star wars fans to turn away from it.

Sony's dropped the ball a bit, but you must remember they are the creators of such amazing characters as Sonic.
